When am I eligible to enroll in Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Part D?
You are initially eligible to sign up for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Part D insurance during your Medicare Open Enrollment Period. Different rules apply to different products therefore we recommend that you refer to our Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Part D pages for specifics.
After your enrollment period ends, at specific times during the year you’ll be able to make changes to your Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D coverage. If you choose to keep Original Medicare and purchase a Medigap policy, you’ll be able to change plans whenever you want, but keep in mind that you will have to pass underwriting in order to obtain a new Medigap plan, unless you live in a state with specific eligibility rules. We highly recommend that you research your options earlier as opposed to later, in order to avoid any penalties or lapses in insurance coverage.
